The Nassau Bay Nauticat Board joins me in welcoming our returning swimmers back and a big welcome to all of our new Cats. We expect the 2011 swim season will be another great year for the Nassau Bay Nauticats. We are delighted that you have chosen to be part of the team and spend part of your summer as a Nauticat. It will be a busy 2 months of swimming. We pack a lot of work, growth, excitement and fun in just a little over 2 months.
Your board and coaches have been hard at work planning for the 2011 swim season almost since the swim season ended last year. Our primary goal is to provide a high quality swim program for our team. We want our swimmers to improve their skills, learn the principles of teamwork and good sportsmanship, and develop an interest in competitive swimming.
As parents, we can add to the success of the season by volunteering as much as possible. Get involved. Be a part of the team. The Nauticats require your help and support for a winning season. Your Nauticat swim board has prepared this handbook to provide you and your family with information you will need to know and understand your team. Please read it with extra care if you are a new member of the Nauticats. If you have any questions at all, please ask a board member.
We hope all of our swimmers have a winning, fun and exciting swim season making new friends and improving their swim skills – One day at a time, one lap at a time.
Remember, you are the team and with your help we will all have a great swim season.
Go Cats,
Curt & Laurie Nicks
