Our Goal
The Nassau Bay Swim Team - the Nauticats - seeks to provide a high quality swim program for our youth. We have programs for youth ranging from 8 and under to age 18. We want our swimmers to improve their aquatic skills, learn the principles of teamwork and good sportsmanship, and to develop an interest in competitive swimming.
How Long is the Season?
Our program starts with registration in March. Practice begins in earnest in early May with daily after school weekday sessions. When school ends practices are held each weekday morning. The competitive swim meet season starts later in May and finishes with the Champ meet is early July. Most meets are on Saturday morning.
Congratulations Nauticats!
The Nauticats placed 6th overall at the 2009 CCSL Championship Meet and the boys team finished 3rd overall.
John Wong was the top point scorer in the 15-18 yr old boys, and John set a new CCSL record of 0:47:68 in the 100 yd Freestyle for 15-18 yr old boys.
